Trevor was introduced to CrossFit in July of 2007 by a fellow firefighter and was hooked after doing his first WOD. He’s always been a person that likes to excel and be the best that he can be in anything that he does. CrossFit is challenging in itself but it also improved his performance in his job and other aspects of his life. As a firefighter/paramedic, he saw on a daily basis the average person beginning to decline in activity and motivation as they get older. With this comes decrease in mobility, strength and dependence on others. Trevor truly believes that CrossFit can and will make a better life for him and the others around him because of the physical and mental demand that it requires. CrossFit has changed his life and he wants to pass that onto others. We only live once and we need to live it to the fullest and be ready and dependable when life calls on us for either yourself, family and friends. Crossfit is the catalyst that will take you there.

Christian found CrossFit about two years ago. After a very long break from any physical activity, he like most people started lifting weights at his local globo gym. After all the supplements and bench press he found CrossFit from a couple of friends at work. Obviously he was very curious and began doing WOD’s at the gym. That didn’t last long because gym management didn’t like him dropping the weights, apparently it didn’t mesh well with the elliptical machines. He was more than excited when he found out a CrossFit gym was opening nearby. He went in and introduced himself immediately, he was hooked from the minute he walked in the door. After 9 months of training and helping where he could around the box, he decided to get his level 1, started coaching and hasn’t looked back.

Cedric began his CrossFit journey in February of 2012. For his first month, Cedric strictly attended CrossFit Endurance classes. He was never a big fan of running, but for some reason he was drawn to the interval style training. Cedric did not pick up a barbell or lift any weight until his second month. Before CrossFit Cedric despised weight lifting and stuck to cardio workouts. He now finds that Olympic lifting is his favorite aspect of CrossFit.
After 17 months of CrossFit Cedric decided he wanted to become a coach. After speaking with Trevor on the matter, he decided to acquire his Level 1. In June of 2013, Cedric received his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate. Immediately after receiving his certificate he began to coach classes.

Michelle Allegra stayed active when she was young by competing on an All-Star cheerleading team. She continued to cheer in college at the University of Miami. When she stopped cheering, she tried to stay in shape by working out on her own, but struggled with motivation. For years, she tried a mix of globo gym, yoga, a bit of running, and spinning, but nothing ever kept her interest well enough to stay consistent. When she started CrossFit in January of 2010, she was hooked! She knew she finally found her niche. The "constantly varied" aspect really kept her attention, along with the accountability to coaches and other athletes to show up and push yourself beyond your perceived limits. CrossFit felt like being part of a team again, and she convinced a handful of friends and family to make the same commitment. Seeing the change in people's fitness levels, confidence levels, and overall health made her eager to start coaching and making a difference in her community. She is a firm believer that ANYBODY can do CrossFit, and it's never too early or too late to start!
James discovered Crossfit after a friend showed him a video of the Crossfit Games on Youtube. The following morning he went to the closest box and took part in an “intro” class. He pushed himself so hard that first workout that he actually threw up his breakfast shortly after. Crossfit combined many movements such as gymnastics, lifting, and calisthenics all into one workout that composed the best functional and all around workout that had a direct correlation to his outdoor hobbies. Having been active his whole life with running, lifting weights, and competing in triathlons, he wanted a change from the typical gym scene. About a year and half after beginning the Crossfit journey, James decided to further his passion by attending the Crossfit Level 1 Seminar and began coaching at South Orlando Crossfit in February 2013. You will always see him keeping a close eye on technique and working to improve the athlete’s body mechanics. His passion(s) are health/fitness, and motivating others.
